Workplace Ping Pong: Productivity Killer or Enhancer?

Workplace Ping Pong: Productivity Killer or Enhancer?

It seems that every company now has a super sized ping pong table with bean bags scattered next to the communal Xbox. The truth is building a positive and productive workplace culture isn’t that simple.

Developing a key set of strategic objectives and business values is often a good place to start. Without this fundamental step being taken, you can easily find yourself down a path that ends in a employment catastrophe.

Should we ban workplace fun?

Absolutely not! If your business values encourage a competitive and collaborative environment, then build one and yes this could be in the form of a ping pong table (there, I said it!).

Don’t just think that printing your company values on your wall is good enough. You need to demonstrate that your company is 100% committed to these values and they’re being communicated effectively.

It’s easy to get carried away but as long as you’re confident the values align to your business strategy and objectives, then you’ll undoubtedly find that whilst there’s no magic formula to build a perfect culture, you’ll see a fantastic return on time and investment.

Improve your company culture…with or without ping pong tables

Let’s not forget! Workplaces are where we spend most of our lives as employees, others encourage us to do well and we as employers are the enablers to their success.

Will you be buying a ping pong table for you team?
